Datejust II newbie
hi all. First post so be gentle.
I am looking at a datejust II from a AD with a decent price. He will order a new one for me with serial numbers that starts with V. getting the rhodium dial, jubliee links and fluted bezel. IS there anything wrong with this line of DJ? Thanks |

Welcome to the Forum...
There is nothing wrong with the Datejust II... It is a 41mm version of the classic and world recognised 36mm Datejust.. I can't see anything wrong with this purchase............. ..well, except for the rhodium dial........ it is terribly hard to see in the daylight...

Just as a point, you can't get the DJ II with Jubilee at present, it only comes on Oyster

The lug width is 21 mm and Rolex do not have a Jubilee bracelet to match that size. Your choice of watch is excellent.......love the rhodium dial. That fluted bezel is made of 18K WG. Good luck and do keep us updated - JJ

Welcome to TRF! The DJ II was introduced by Rolex last year and is an updated, modern take on the classic DJ. You can't go wrong with it (provided of course, you get a nice discount!)

Thanks
Thanks for the kind comments.
I pulled the trigger on the 36MM datejust. AD will be ordering a new piece because I didnt want the display model. I was told it will be a V series serial number. Are these somewhat new. I didnt realized i would be unable to read the rhodium dial in light...the AD store was dark... I have a lot to learn from all you fine people here.. Thanks! |

Good choice.. It's a lifetime purchase if you want it to be...
V serial is current, but it may also have the newest random numbering system...shouldn't matter at all........ Quote:
