Any IWC Fans?
Looking at the IWC Mark XVI Pilot's watch on black strap ref. IW325501 and want some feedback on the maker. Anyone?

A very well regarded marque that make some great pieces IMHO.
Some of the pilots watches such as yours and the Big Pilot are very popular, and of course you can't ignore something like the Portugese. Myself prefer some of the dress chronos they make, but yours looks good too!

Even though I've never owned one I've always admired IWC. It is a superb brand with watches that easily rival Rolex. My favourites are the Mark X and XI Pilots watches. I'm not a big fan of the XV and XVI...would try to get a pre-owned Mark XII if I wanted a modern-ish pilot's watch.
Anyway, you could do a lot worse if you bought an IWC. |

One of the ADs in Auckland is trying to get rid of the brand and is having a run-out sale....like 40% off. Any takers? He's still got some good stuff left.

Wow, that's not bad. What's the going price for a portuguese chrono?

Not very sure, Ken.....but I'm sure the one I saw was quite similar to that right hand one on the top with the yellow stripe.

I am looking for an IWC Dopple (either the Spitfire or limited edition Ceramic).
It would be an addition to my collection in the "rugged" activity watch category. Would apprciate any leads. I am waiting for my next trip to EU or Asia to do some shopping. |

Crystal?
Anyone confirm if the crystal on the Mark XVI is domed (a la Speedmaster Pro) or Flat? Might be the decision maker.
