I am planning to buy a daytona in the next week or so but having a tough time deciding on rather to get white dial 116520 or a black dial 116523. Can someone decide for me?

Can not choose for you--totally personal--I like black--lots like white but in the end who cares what we like--it is what you like!! Step up and choose!!

Well, those are two pretty different looks. I, for one, would go for the 116523 - I think it stands out that little bit more, and you'll see less of them "in the wild" on other people's wrists. The white dial 116520 is a great looking watch, though, and I'm sure you'll be extremely happy with either choice

white wins every time! (had 3)
had the black, didn't like it, for me too many black rolex models! if "I" choose again it would be white, it's so easy to read and you don't see any fingerprints!!! BUT YOU MUST CHOOSE THE ONE THAT SMILES AT YOU>>>>

get both
if you have the choice of both offer to you, i would take both since its not easy to come by and you will love both.
i got both and wear them at different times, one at work and one off work. i dont have to think and regret why I did not get one over the other. Go for it, I am sure you will be a happy man when you come out of the AD> Keep us inform cheers |

Yes, the black for sure. Oh, and be sure to wear the blue shirt with it...
and the black slacks. Don't forget to brush your teeth.

White!
Every sport model (except for the Explorer II) can be had with a black dial.

I'll answer you question relative to the feel of the watch rather than the look. I have owned both the SS and TT six digit Daytona, and found that the TT feels more balanced around the wrist. It must be the gold in the bracelet that make it feel less top-heavy.

Don't listen to these other guys-- you've come to the right place for free advice. My own wife and kids don't listen to me, but I've got your problem figured out.
If you only have one Rolex, I think black is the way to go for the sport models. However, white is the better look for a Daytona, IMO. If you've got a Sub or other balck face, get white. It really is the best look. |

I think white works really well in visibility terms.
Black is more stealth and is a little harder to read.

U cannot be serious! You are about to spend 10k on a watch and want perfect strangers to choose the dial color. I don't get posts like these.
Don't take offense but u need to make this decision... Z :) |
