I say flip it. The Ingenieur is a fantastic watch and you will still have 3 iconic Rolexes. And I don't agree that the Ingy is just like the Milgauss - they look and feel very different. Lastly, you will own a great watch from another great watch company. My 2c.

there are zillions of datejusts out there, JIMHO. on the other hand, the IWC, you've selected is well, not my cup of tea. I suggest an IWC Portugese(that's the name of it, correct)....in short, why this particular IWC...get it, just a different watch.

IWC makes great watches, no doubt, but based on the choice given and your current collection, I'd stick with the dj2.

Don't flip the DJ. Just buy the Ingy.... you'll be happy.

I am not sure which model Ingy that is... however, I can only say this. The Ingy is a classic and wonderful watch in so many ways. I was sorely disappointed when IWC discontinued the 3227, which I felt was the best in the line. I do not care for the new 45mm monsters, nor the various ceramic bezel versions. All that said, my one complaint on the Ingy is that because of the high bezel height and very sharp edges on the case finishing, it was a real ding magnet and very hard to keep looking nice. One of the things I have always loved about Rolex sport models is that they look good even with some wabi and can be touched up easily.
