I used to be able to have a larger avatar but once the upgrade to place a few months ago I cannot. I don't know enough about computers to know what to do but others have been able to have larger avatars.

An avatar must be under 150 x 150 pixels or 48.8 KB

But so many have larger than that. I used to be able to until a few months ago.

I've just been trying to upload a new Avater, too and had no luck, either. The existing one I use is actually (full size) 3264 x 2448 and 2.88MB. This uploaded before, with no problems at all.

I've tried several photos, but each time I get a message saying that it is too big and that it can't be re-sized.

Very odd - unless we need to upgrade our 'Pledge Member' status

Your existing is showing 150 x 115 Neil....
Have you tried to resize the new one to the correct parameters ?

Rob, thanks.

I'm not really sure how to do that - I've never had to do it, before? I know that, previously, I just uploaded my current picture from my PC, which is way bigger than the 150 x 115 and it just happened. It must have been re-sized automatically.

As an experiment, I just tried to upload my existing picture again, to see what happened and it came back with the same message, which is odd, as it is already the picture on my Avatar.

diff file types = diff size limits.

The new server will not resize or allow any leeway, sorry!
There are programs you can use to reduce picture sizes if you research a little.
