Will Omega authenticate a DLC'd PO?

I'm thinking of buying this from a WUS member. No papers, tho'. Will Omega verify this watch? And can you guys spot any discrepancies on this one?

Thanks!

I have no idea...but that's one hell of a good looker, and I'm not even into the DLC/PVD's watches.
Try taking it to an AD, not an Omega Boutique.

Can I ask what size it is?
If it is 42mm, then the dial is looking abit suss... I'm wearing my PO ATM (42mm). Not sure if the dial is the same for the 45.5mm apart from the actual size.

I cant see the engraving on the edge of the case back from that picture though.

It's advertised as the 45.5.

May I ask what's suspect about the dial? I'm a Planet Ocean newbie, so I really don't know what to look for. There's a great thread (that resulted in a banned member!) a few lines down from this one that has (I believe) pictures of a fake PO.

If you're interested, the thread is called "Omega Planet Ocean 2201.50.00".

Yeah I know, I participated in that thread also.

What i can see now is that When looking at my 42mm, the location of date window was off as well as the omega logo on the dial.
On the case back, there is no engraving on the edge on the "Ocean" wording side.

Usually a dead giveaway is the quality of the hippocampus, and the location of the He valve. (it should be ABOVE the 10 o'clock marker, not below it or on it)

The PO looks good to me, but I'm not a huge expert.

also if you email the serial # to omega the will provide you with the watch make and when it was sold for future reference to see if it matches up

I wouldn't buy this even if it only costs $1,000. Such work on an awesome timepiece is just depressing. Just my .2 cents.
