Taking your Rolex to the gym?
After my morning workout at the gym, I get dressed for work at the gym.
I have been putting my Rolex inside a THICK sock and place it inside my gym bag side pocket. Can you give me some options to carry my Rolex to the gym? I feel like the sock isn't a wise choice. That my watch might get banged up, or something worse... Obviously I don't want to put it inside the Rolex box and pack that inside my gym bag. That's kind of bulky. What do you guys do? I can't be the only one who gets dressed at the gym before work. thanks! |

You are taking a risk...
If you must carry it, what about one of these? A member posted these online a while back: You are taking a risk... If you must carry it, what about one of these? A member posted these online a while back: http://www.amazon.com/Oakley-07-234-...6052587&sr=8-1 |

We have a gym where I work. Some of the lockers are these tiny cubicles. I place my wallet in there, put my sub on top of my wallet and then lock it up. |

I wear mine to he gym, leave it in a locker (locked) while I work put and out it back on when I leave. I am not one bit woried about it being stolen. All my watches are insured... If someone wants it that bad they can have it, I will get a new one... Just my .02 I dont worry about things like this...
I bought the watch to wear, I am certainly not going to leave it in my car or in a sock... Wear and Enjoy

I have worn one for years while working out.
An AD I know sells a watch or two every month to replace those stolen from a gym locker.

Your EXPII is built to take anything you or your gym can throw at it. I wore my 80's Datejust in the gym and while playing racquetball and water skiing - hot tubs and jacuzzi's - for many years. I am lost as to why you remove it at all ?

I have had my Explorer on my wrist almost every day since Feb 1 when I got it. It is on my wrist at work, in the production area of a print shop, and when I go to the gym. I had a Breitling Superocean for over 10 years, also with stainless steel bracelet. Wore it to the gym and to work. Yes, after 10 years it had quite a few scratches on it. Still gave it a bath every night, with mild soap and tepid water, and it always looked great. Just wear it and enjoy it! Cheers, Carl

I pick one that I want to get the bracelet cleaned and after I work out, I wash the watch along with the bracelet. I rotate my watches when I go to gym and they all get a nice clean shower through this type of rotations

My Rolex is insured, if its gets stolen. big deal - sure I'll be upset, but I'm more concerned with banging it up and scuffing up the crystal, or links. I've only had it 7 or 8 months. I value my possessions. It took years to save up for my watch. Besides - why would you wear a Rolex to a gym? That's a little ostentatious. I love my EXPII besides its the stealth Rolex. I know its quality, it looks nice, I can give it to my son or daughter - I have neither yet, God willing I'll have both one day. Maybe you guys are just giving me a hard time cause I'm a newby? |

I wouldn't be too worried about damaging the watch while lifting weights but I WOULD be worried that the watch might damage my wrist!!

I wore my DJ to the gym when I was allowed to work out lol. I have a baby; now a toddler which is a handful and I don't get out much anymore.
The only risks I ran into was I felt like my SS polished links got scratched at an elevated rate, and that when worn tight I felt like it stretched some or put pressure on my wrist when my muscle was flexed, and if I adjusted the little half expanding link it was too loose and slid around. |

My wife wears a gold and diamond rolex or a cartier to the gym, sometimes a breitling. She never takes them off while exercising.

My son-in-law had always been taking his Breitling to the gym and placing it in his locked locker. After a 45 minute work out the watch was gone. To make a long story short there was an employee at the gym with a master key. That guy skipped town after hitting a few lockers. Bottom line leave your watch home or in a locked car in a safe place.

I don't take my Rolex to the gym; it doesn't like to work out.

I do hot yoga and find my air-king is a great watch to wear while working out and showering I never take it off just to sleep. I tried my sub but it is too bulky for me while working out.

For the past 20 years, I've been working out with a Rolex on my wrist. I love it.

If you go the gym with your watch , the safest place is your wrist , if you're afarid to bang it , then leave it at home , never leave it in a locker... , unless insured !

I always gym with a watch on, Rolex included. Then again, I rarely lift weights.
