Lost that lovin feeling...
...think I might have....
I haven't worn it for like a month. Put it on yesterday and was like 'eh. I don't know how this happened. Maybe I'll put it in my safe deposit box for a month so I don't see it.

It's a great piece,but I know what you mean!!!
I have the TT IIc and actually have not had it on the wrist in almost 8 months believe it or not.. I will never let her go though as it's just to damn good looking!!! Give it another month or 2 before doing anything rash.... Nice shots by the way!

Still smile with my 16610. Don't know why I don't get the same feeling from this one above though.

Not really. I'm sure there is a PAM I would like, but the ones I want are all too expensive for me. I'm pretty happy with the two I have.

It looks brand new man! I've worn my almost daily for 3 years and suffice to say it doesn't look much like yours.
That said, I still LOVE mine...hope you get over the funk.

Yeah, those pics are older. It is desk marks on it, but nothing at all. I'm pretty particular with my watches. Always turn my wrists inwards around doors, always have a cloth or stack of napkins when resting my wrist on a table, etc. I have a friend at work that makes fun of me all the time b/c he is reckless with his watches.

No worries....
It happens......THAT's why I've had so many different Rolex watches (Both Vintage and Modern ) over the years......They come and they go.....All part of the fun in my opinion...

Really, not thinking of another watch right now. Plus, after having the 16610 and the IIc, I really think I prefer the older one. Maybe I should look into a 16710.......................that coke bezel is my type of color....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....look what you are doing to me............I didn't even think I wanted another Rolex.

My Explorer is getting neglected since I bought the DJ, but I have to admit that I'm still quite fond of it and new watches always get special attention.
It also feels good to switch them out because each has a different feel. Still, I'm quite smitten with the DJ and it's getting preferential treatment.

Wearing my Series Y Sub as I type this Mik. I am jonesing for a GMTIIC, but wondering if it would be too similar to the Sub. Would love a white Daytona as well...but I am on a major watch diet!

I hear you Bill. They are different enough, but I think I just like my sub so much more. Believe it or not, but I like my light hollow center links and light folded clasp.

if you dont like it just sell it no point in keeping something expensive you dont like.
you'll lose money a little but at least you can get back your money. |

Guess I'm hoping that feeling will come back. I mean how many people have sold a watch only to come back and buy it again. I'm the only owner of this watch, kind of nice...

You have to do what makes you happy Mik IMO if you haven't worn it in a month and you had the reaction you did when you put it on, you'll have the same in a nother month or so.
Yes, you said you'll lose a few bucks on it. If it isn't making you smile, something else will. Be it a watch or otherwise

I see it this way: there's nothing wrong with the GMTIIc per se, but there's virtually nothing that can equal the simple perfection of the Sub.
I know a lot of people may disagree, but I don't think green belongs on the dial of a watch, and I don't think polished links belong on a tool watch. Just mho. I know what you mean, as well. I used to lust after Daytonas. I've had 3 of them. Now; ehh, no interest. |

I was never a fan of the numbers on the bezel of the GMT. Sub is ok, but just that. Panerai on the other hand seems like a nice change to wearing a Rolex.

That's a beautiful watch. Hard to imagine that one not getting plenty of wrist time!
