GMT 16750 Endlink question

Does anyone know if 555 endlinks on a 62510H Jubilee work properly on a 16750 GMT.

Thanks,

Aaron

No, they will not.. Although they will physically fit, the 555's are for the Datejust which has a 36mm case. Therefore the radius where the end-link meets the case will be slightly smaller..

You want 502's ...

550's are actually the correct endlinks for a 16750... But they have not been made for a few decades; 502's can still be found...

I did not ever hear to say that 502 - "B" I suppose - could be the endlinks of 62510H that fit the 16750, but only the sapphire GMT like 16760/16700/16710.
I'm sure if you had bought a 16750 in 1985, Rolex reseller gave you a 62510H bracelet with 555 end links.

I don't quite understand what you are saying. On a 16750, it has through lug holes, you can use either 502T or 502B end links (although, as said, the 16750 likely originally came with 550's). You only need to find 502T's if you have a lateer non-lug hole GMT, or grind grooves in the 502B's... It doesn't matter if the crystal is acrylic or sapphire..

It may be true that a "reseller" might likely put on a Jubilee with 555 endlinks. This is the bracelet for a Datejust and there are millions of them out there.. However, the Datejust is a 36mm case watch and therefore, the 555's have a smaller case profile and do not fit against the 40mm GMT case properly.

Hey Larry,
So is there an actual difference between the 502's and the 550's aside from the production period?? Thanks in advance.

I have a 16750 and a 62510H (stamped 50) with 502T endlinks. The curvature of the endlinks match perfectly but the fitment leaves a tiny 1mm gap between the endlink and the case, which allows the endlink to swivel around the springbar slightly and 'droops' on the wrist. The 502T (or B for that matter) isn't a perfect fit but is likely the best alternative to the original 550 endlinks.

Thanks so much for the insight. So I guess there is an actual difference between the 550 and the 502's. Thanks.

.

502 endlinks are used for jubilé 62510 with a 16760.

For a 16750 you should better try find EL 550.

550's are still very much available from Rolex. I have purchased multiple sets in the last year.

Reviving this 10-year-old thread: 550's (designed for the 5-digit GMT's largely from the era of the 70's and 80's) are nearly impossible to source in the year 2023. In the rare case where a set shows up, you're looking at many hundreds of dollars unless they're being sold along with their 62510H "50" bracelet, in which case you're looking at thousands. Well worth the search and expense, however, if you're trying to match a proper "GMT Jubilee" (as distinct from a "Datejust Jubilee") with your "GMT-Master".

550 endlinks. 50 stamped last link.(proper date code on clasp for your 16750) Be patient, and it’s probably going to hurt a little $$$…but don’t do anything else…
