anyway, i love this watch i highly recommend it. the large crystal, matte dial and silver date wheel make this watch completely. Ive learned to live with the rattles but thats ok. Great watch

I couldn't agree more! Such a unique reference with it's "top hat " crystal and matt dial.





And sometimes that little bit of Red.

I REALLY want to trade my 1680 for a mint red1680 but nobody is interested :(
oh well... one day.
the red 1680 + the cream dial explorer and the orange hand are my grails.
i dont care for the DRSD :(

but hey, the white 1680 is a helluva watch, just missing the red print ;)

Dont worry to much about a Red your 1680 is a fine watch and a proper Rolex thats a vintage one.And for every genuine red out there today there will be many that are just pretenders.
