book publishing!

guys I always ask around here whatever I've been planning on in the last few years and you are all a great help...thanks a lot and as usual, here I go again with a new field I'd like to know more about from all you better informed people..

I have written a non-fiction book on recent political happenings and various other social issues in my country..it is serious, critical and philosophical...its not very large but its interesting and divided in small chapters with separate issues discussed in each chapter.

here is the thing, my book is going out for publication tomorrow in my own country and I am very hopeful for a good response, but I just want to know about international publications..I mean how do I get to publish it internationally and how do I contact someone who'll accept it and I have no idea if it will appeal to international readers or not...and also how good is the amazon's self-publication thing, and if that is good, should I use a simple supply to amazon and they sell model or should I ask them to publish it too (not just sell my sent+published work)?..I mean should I use createspace offer or just a simple selling scheme?..and how good/practicle is this 'kindle' offer too from amazon?

so basically just please those who are in this field, guide me how to go about getting an international publication for my book? and any thoughts/experience/opinion on amazon's tools or usage too..thanks a lot for your kind guidance.
