Where's the Omega Forums...
Why not?
And I'm talking beyond the Omega sub-sections on the major watch forums, why not an OmegaForums.com?

Several have tried to establish an Omega-only forum but most folks seems to be happy where they are on the sub-forums.
I suspect WUS has the largest Omega following but I wonder what will happen when Omega "cuts its throat" by raising prices and scuttling its AD network. There will probably be fewer new watches showing up. In the three years I've been over here, I have noticed a growing interest in Omegas. I hope it continues. Fr. John† |

As I have just completed three family trees and my REME Past & Present forum has been running for ten years. And as my lust for another Omega appears to be quenched, since having my SMP 2531.80.00 converted, I find that I am bored.
So, I will have a go at putting together an Omega Watches Forum. If it takes off, it takes off. If it doesn't, it will have been fun putting it together. Brian

FS or WTT or WTB Section?
Dear Friends,
I just visited the Omega Forum. Is there any FS or WTT or WTB Section in the forum? I haven't registered yet and this may be the reason I couldn't see such a sub-forum in the forum? Thanks, very best regards . . . Capt. Serdal |

Not wanting to tread on Brian's toes but I'm sure I read somewhere that he'd set up a WTB/FS section if the Omega forum took off.

Hey guys,
Interesting timing for this thread :) I just wanted to comment quickly to let you know about something I've been working on with another member from this forum: http://omegaforums.net/ The site will be multilingual (English/Chinese/Italian, to start), and running on fast/reliable servers. There's a professional designer (myself) and a skilled Server Admin on board so far. The look and feel of the site will be very classy and enjoyable to browse. The forum is free for all and there will be no ads. There will be a marketplace/for-sale section and all of the usual expected features. I wanted to find a way to give back to this community, and I figured building a well-designed Omega forum would be a nice contribution. Obviously we'd be stronger in numbers. I'd welcome collaboration with anyone that's currently running other forums. We're also looking for members that speak Italian and Chinese (we need more moderators). I'd love to hear your ideas and comments. What would you like to see? Cheers Trev |

Thanks for the interest so far. I'm glad to see people on the launch mailing list.
All of the infrastructure will be there for a great multilingual forum when we go live, we just need people ready to enjoy the place. So, please spread the word wherever you can. If you could build a forum where any feature was possible, what would you add? :) |

Regarding the Omega Forums mentioned above. Was there anything specific you guys would like to see in a new site?
We're obviously trying to cater to this brand and history, since most of the current Omega communities are centered around sub-forums, not dedicated sites. There will be a marketplace/for-sale section of course. |

There's already some very good posts. Cheers |
