16800 date disc: open 6?

My 16800 is showing me its nice open 6 on today's date.

Wait... Should it have an open 6 on the 26??

Yes, I believe that is correct for the early Matte Dial versions....

Open 6 is nothing to be concerned about on your beautiful 16800. If it was a closed 6, that would draw concern. Have a great day!

Thank you all. I wondered for a moment whether the date wheel had been changed. Would have surprised me with the original dial/hands, though.

Hi Norman,
I removed the cyclops 2 days ago. I am getting happier by the day. it keeps excellent time as well.
