I think I do pretty good!

In a couple of month it will be my 20 year anniversary that I immigrated to our great country with $800 in my pocket. When I came here I didn't know a lot of English, worked minimum wage jobs for years, taught myself the language. I worked myself up the ladder and I think I did pretty good. Three weeks ago my wife "forced" me to reward myself with a GMT IIc.
I guess she got tired listening to me for years that I love to have a Rolex GMT but always looked at the money and how difficult it was in the past to make a living.
Well here it is and hasn't left my arm for weeks now

Wonderful story and a fantastic watch. Congratulations!!

It's things like this that make me feel connected to Rolex and so proud to wear one...My parents came to America with $100, no English and a one-year old daughter....I know he experienced similar feelings to you when he received his TT DJ on his 40th birthday and it hasn't left his wrist since.

Congratulations on a job well done, sounds like you earned that watch. It's amazing what happens when a person works hard instead of belly aching.
