About to take the dive, help required

Hi Folks,

I am a Rolex fan normally have a Submariner and a day date in white gold. I want another sports type watch and am now loving the Pams.

I am based in Dubai and the local AD has the following in stock.

Pam 164 - USD 5900, I love the brown deployment clasp on this and do like the face. I think I prefer the date window in this model.

Pam 312 - USD 6800. I do like this too, but is it worth more than the 164?

Any help suggestions would be much appreciated or alternatives. I am happy to go up to approx 8000 USD for the right watch.

Thanks
Paz

I prefer the cleaner look of the 312's dial....like the case over the 164...also no cyclops looks better on PAMs IMO + sandwich dial inc Calibre P.9000 movement & 3 days power reserve.

I'd go the extra...for a 1st PAM the 312 would be hard to beat.

Agree with Dalip on the 312. You should also look at the PAM000 base - the Panerai equivalent of the Sub no-date.

seems the 312 is the winner!

Thanks again all.

I will be visiting the AD this afternoon. Think I would also like a brown strap of sorts, also a deployment clasp.....just loved it on my IWC Portugese, incidently that is making way for the PAM!

Will post pictures once the deal is done!

Thanks again

If you like the dial, the 359 would be my choice over the 164. As an only Pam I have to say the 312 is hard to beat.
