Speed Master Pro 3570.50.00 or 3573.50.00
I'm seriously considering getting a Speedmaster Pro. I would like opinions as to which version you would get and why?
Speed Master Pro 3570.50.00 or 3573.50.00

easy-peasy Dan - it has to be the 3570 (for me anyway ). thats if you want a brand new one that is still NASA approved for manned space mission.
the 3573 is still "considered" a Pro, but imho, it is not the true NASA approved piece (the clear display back is rather nice to have though...) |

I'm liking the 3573. Though its not true to its heritage, I prefer the sapphire crystal & caseback.
Good luck Dan! |

I had the same question and I decided on the 3570 for all of the above reasons as well I love how the original looks with the domed crystal.

The best of both worlds would be the 3572.50 as you will get the classic beautiful look of the hesalite crystal and also have the sapphire exhibition caseback. This model is discontinued and bit hard to find these days but worth the hunt. I would only consider selling mine if a very nice 321 came along.

I went with the 3570, as I preferred the look of the Hesalite vs Sapphire on this particular watch, I find that the dial looks slightly 'softer'...

How much visual difference between the Hesalite and sapphire crystals.
If I had the two side by side, what would I notice? Oh, and do I correctly understand that the Hesalite crystal tolerates decompression better than the Sapphire crystal? |

It looks like I have the approval from the boss. I think I shall order it on Monday. The Omega Boutique said if I wire the funds early enough I could have it on Tuesday.
I can't wait I've been eyeing this one for awhile. Thanks for your input.

Eric, I am going with the saphire sandwich version. I prefer the saphire over the Hesalite crystal.
I am getting it on the stainles steel bracelet, however might want to get an Omega Leather Strap and buckle or deployment clasp where is the best place to get this. Should I try to get it through the Boutique?

I like the Lemania's looks, so I would either get the hesalite and then put a sapphire back on it or buy the sapphire sandwich.

Great choice. That's the one I chose for my son and I have no regrets.
Now I am looking for a good 321. A deployant buckle looks good but IMO a standard strap is more comfortable. Will this ever stop.

I just got me a 3570 a few weeks back and it's serving the daily beater role quite well! Nice piece.

Last Friday I just both my first Omega - Speedmaster Pro 3573. Still keep it in a box as it's supposed to be my birthday present. And it is in April :(
2 points i liked - saphire and transparent back. Not original moonwatch, but... i have one of russian watches from 1961 when space race truly began :) |
