40th Anniversary Speedy Info Request

My brother in law, a big fan of the space program, has always wanted a Speedy. I've been pushing him, of course, as any good brother in law WIS should. He texted me yesterday saying he's getting serious and was interested in the 40th Anniversary model.

1- Is there only one 40th Anniversary model? There are so many Speedy references but the only 40th I've seen has a silver sub dial @ 9:00, comes with a nice wood presentation box w/ commemorative coin.

2- Any idea of the going rate [either from AD, if still available or NIB gray market]?

3- Best suggestion to locate one?

Your thoughts and/ or comments welcome.

Thanks in advance,
dP

Dan, I would suggest to PM Fr. John ASAP. He is a walking Omega encyclopaedia and I'm sure his FAD will be more than happy to assist.

Brandon, that's a stunner. Love the red GMT time on the dial.
Congrats and enjoy,

This is the 40th LE - and as other post noted, there was one for sale on the forum.

Another option to consider is the 3570.50. This is the classic speedy IMHO.

Yep, Fr John was a big help on my recent Speedy Pro acquisition just this last week.

I would send a PM to Fr. John, but I think new they go new for around $5k, last time I checked. You can probably get a better deal though.

The last I checked with Fr.John's contact, they were searching one for me. I have not heard from them but maybe they have luck soon?

The Speedy Pro is such a great, iconic watch. The anniversary version is so nice.

I received a speedy pro yesterday and it is wayyyy coolier than any pics I've ever seen of them. Ther are so much nicer in person and on wrist.

Matt's gain is my loss, but I made up for it with his PO :)
