Blacking Out My Rolex
I just purchased a used Submariner with the intent to have it blacked out. I have researched a few companies, but could really use a recommendation.
Has anyone here blacked out a Rolex? If so, how did yours turn out & would you recommend your vendor? Any stories good or bad that you can share? Thank you!! |

I think there was some discussion about this over on TZUK. You might ask there. Not with a Rolex though.

Jack is the man. I've used him for a couple of mods, but not a black-out. He's great to work with. http://internationalwatchworks.com

what can I say...I'm a sucker for black....it never goes out of fashion....doesn't show dirt & makes one look slim BTW "L'Uomo Curmudgeon Vogue" (bible for stylish curmudgeons) is celebrating the 75th anniversary of black as THE color for curmudgeons.

We're all giving you a hard time, but really we're just having fun with you.
I think the black is kind of a cool/mod look myself and it really makes a statement. Although I personally wouldn't do it to such a fantabulous watch such as a Rolex. But individuality is a sweet thing and just because I wouldn't make one particular style choice, doesn't mean I couldn't appreciate someone else's decision. So if you go for black, please post pics because I know we would really enjoy seeing them. And really, welcome to the group. We're glad you're here. |

If you do decide to PVD, make sure they have the diver extension out. Otherwise, it will be permanantly stuck within the clasp.
