Please excuse me, Rik, but I prefer loctite 222, low strength purple stuff for easier screw removal/adjustments.
Being, I am not a watchmaker, there is more margin for re-do?? |

Hi Rik,
Is 271 ok to use on bracelet pins as the spec says it's for heavy duty use? "High strength adhesive for fasteners up to 25mm (1") diameter".

Well the bracelet screws take the most beating of any screw on a Rolex, constant twisting and flexing and rubbing so maybe I over do it a bit but I woud rather err on the safe side. No matter which one you use heat from a hair dryer loosens them up with no problems. Rikki

I think that a non-professional ought to use the low strength Loctite 221 or 222...
It's easy to make a big mess if you don't know what you're doing.....

Exactly what I was thinking. Otherwise I might end up with a nice oysterlock bracelet permanently affixed to my arm
