OCD and Date

So tell the truth, how many have watched their watche/s at midnight to see if the date changed at the same minute it does when manually advancing?

New SubC changed at 0003 must need a service already to get it fixed

I am denied this "pleasure" due to owning a 14060m!

I have.

Lots of folks get worried on this site when their date does not change with a snap at midnight - hence, lots of worried postings!

"Lots of folks get worried on this site when their date does not change with a snap at midnight "

I would guess Rolex must have some type of QC limits for this, + - 5 min? I've seen 2359and now 0003. Is there a standard? Not that its really that bid a deal for most but how hard is it really to time/tune a mechanical change straight up at 0000.

Are there factors that vary this: wear (little/lots), normal bumps and knocks or wind state (thinking more of the instant change part here)

It has to do with the alignment of the planets and stars.

"nope - never have and probably never will." I thought being a WIS required at least some degree of OCD

Never have, seriously doubt that I ever will.

However when preparing one of my watches to be worn after it has stopped, I generally look as it passes 12 to see if the date changes.

I have. My DD Is crisp and switches both day and date the second it hits midnight. My DJ seems to have a 15 second delay from time to time. Yes I have done this on more than one occasion. I started paying attention after noticing the occasional delay on my DJ.

X2, can't remember the last time, unless it was a long driving trip.

I have done it once with a Rolex Submariner Date, an Omega seamster, and a IWC. It was pretty cool.
