Datejust advice
Hi everyone, I need some advice. I recently purchased a White face SS Daytona. This is a watch that I have wanted for a long time. I also have an immaculate Rose Gold Date Just that I now rarely use. I find that the Daytona fits whatever I am wearing, from a coat and tie to jeans. I am thinking about seeing if I can trade the Date just for a No Date Sub. I am looking for more of an everyday watch that I can wear when I am at the beach, golfing, etc. I just wanted to see what the forum thought about this potential trade. Also where can I go to determine the proper value for my Date Just.

It's all a question of taste. You can look at different sources for your DJ, such as ebay and TZ and the for sale section here. Those should give you a good idea of value for your watch.
I'd wear my Daytona as an everyday and keep the DJ for special occasions (but that's just me). |

Keep the DateJust and get yourself a Seiko divers, they're tough as nails for everyday wear.
The SKX007 model is what I have.

Or the Seiko MM300 if he wants a more cheaper Sub rival.

Very good advice! Your DJ is something very beautiful and it`s really nice to have something as dressy as it is. And for daily beater, you can`t go wrong with Seiko Diver`s, they`re very well built watches that will last you a lifetime, and good looking ones, too.

Keep your DJ. It's a great daily wear watch. Every single Rolex is made for daily wear. Wear a Rolex every day! That's what they are made for and what you paid for. You have a SS Daytona that has the low key covered and the rose gold DJ for a little more color. You've got it all covered already.

As i have posted several times both watches are Iconic, keep the Datejust, you will regret it if you part with it, it's a nice choice to have, Datejust or Daytona. Wear them at different times for different reasons.

I appreciate all of the advice and comments. I will probably follow the majority opinion and hold onto the Date Just and maybe pickup a used no date sub at a later date. Thanks again

Another vote for keeping both of your Rolex watches & getting the 007.......or if you can spring for it...the Seiko SBDX001, "MM300".
I am a big fan of the 007.......here's a 007 on Bond.......
