Lug Holes, whats the big deal>>>>>>>>>

When I started lurking TRF two years ago, I was looking for advice for buying my first Rolex. I saw a lot of posts about the virtue of buying with lug holes. I thought what the h... is all the talk about lug holes.

My first buy was a newer DJ and didn't have lug holes. My Second (ExpII) was also hole free. Much like "plexi is to vintage". Lug holes are to sport watches.......It took a while, but I have found my way and understand.

As much as I care about acrylic, I can't get excited with lug holes.

Lug Holes Rule!!! Nothing like vintage Rolex!! If you don't get it--You can't get it!
Once you get it--It's all you get!!! They even look great on Daytonas!!

Please explain to me what lug holes are !!

I have been searching but don't really understand.

Are they the holes that attach the bracelet to the face of the watch and if so how is it attached if there are none ?

Thanks

No lug holes give the watch a cleaner look and that is probably why rolex no longer uses lug holes.

Lug holes Rock!

1 reason is w/o the lugholes, rolex has locked its customers into proprietary bracelets.
OK I probably would never want another bracelet but I like having the universal option of lugholes. Kind of like I would like there to be 1charger for all my electronic devices.

To the OP, welcome to Lughole Nirvana:-)

Here you go...

Different spring bars if you don't have them which need a tool to change.
