Waterproof/Datejust II
Hey Guys,
I just got a Datejust II and I had a very, very reputable watchmaker install a really high quality 5 ct diamond bezel. He said he pressure tested it for 45 min and it's good to go. When he said that, I was taken off guard. I thought the insides of these watch were sealed, even if the bezel came off. (I've only own'd a Sub - where you can snap the bezels on and off without waterproofing concerns). Should I be concerned now with this thing still being waterproof? I don't really swim much deeper than 10/15 ft. But do you think it still has the water resistance of 100m? I have no idea what it means that he pressure tested it for 45 min. Like I said, the guy is super reputable and he said I shouldn't have any problems. But, I wanted to see what the forum says! Thanks! |

If you trust he actually did the pressure test, don't worry you should be fine, jump in the pool...

You should be fine.
Interestingly enough, when I bought my 16570 the guy told me not to get it wet. I realized he was totally full of it but had it pressure tested anyway Enjoy (and why no pics?) |
