Why you buy a Rolex ?
Hello everyone I'm a colloge student.
I'm interested in this brand . Could you tell me why you buy a Rolex? Just for your interest ? You love Rolex's brand, culture, spirit or something else? And why you buy Rolex not other brands? You are loyal to Rolex or try other brands as well? Thank you!!! |

My reason of buyer a rolex rather than other brands are because it is a so renowned that everyone recognized the 5 "matchsticks" logo, it's precision and durability. Most important of all, it holds it value very well. In the event that when I am broke and in need of $$$, I still can sell it for a decent money.

Yes I have bought other brands but I find that Rolex is the best as far as holding their value and durability as well. I also have AP, BP, and IWC but always come back to Rolex.

That's exactly why I bought a Submariner. Last year I bought a Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 500M, and after a year of wearing a too big, too heavy Sub wannabe decided to get the real thing. It's size, weight, and balance on my wrist is perfect.

The rich heritage--classic looks--ever lasting style--humble design--solid performance--ease of up keep--built like a tank--the pure joy of looking down on my wrist--precision engineering--could keep going on and on. Forget value--what others think and all the rest--pure love for the brand and feeling I get while wearing my watches!!

Wow, so I guess my story is a little bit different.
I actually liked Rolex but didn't love it for a long time. I was a Quartz snob back in my flying days when we used to hack our watches...our Quartz watches...daily. But don't think too poorly of me. 30 sec early over target would earn you a face full of artillery, 30 sec late earned you a missile in the ^%$ from a very put out person whose stuff you had just blown up. Our watch was either showing the right time or it wasn't, period. When I later learned to appreciate the wonder of the automatic movement, I found myself the owner of a host of watches. Omega, Breitling, Doxa, Sinn, Seiko, Citizen, and micro brands like Zixen. And the more I learned about the history of some of these watches, the more hooked I got. The designs of these great watch houses have been literally from the moon to the bottom of the sea. And there in the center of things, has been Rolex, which should come as no suprise considering the brand's fame. But I didn't really appreciate the Rolex until my first, the DSSD, given to me by my fiancee as an engagement present. Even without its other attractions, you can tell almost immediately upon wearing it, that it's something special. It looks great, is put together to spectacularly tight tolerences, and runs with almost surreal accuracy...the most accurate watches I own. Consider that last statement for a moment when I throw my recently purchased 2005 Sea dweller in the mix. So, for the history, for the quality, and for the timeless design, I have come to really appreciate the Rolex. If you can afford one, you would certainly not regret it, and would one day look back on it as a reminder of a life well lived. I'm thinking optimistically on that last part. Deacon |

My dad had a wind up model when I was a kid. He loved that watch. My first watch was a Seiko automatic my mother bought in Japan. I always knew I wanted to own a Rolex someday and when I saved enough I bought my first in 1991, a tt Thunderbird. Rolex has high quality, durability, reliability, and built to last for decades.
Rolex is one of the best high end brands of watches I own. |

I chose Rolex because they are time tested, durable and offer a timeless, classic look that does not go out of style. They offer an all around look that is acceptable whether dressed up or dressed down which works perfect for me whether I'm in the office, at a wedding/event, or just kickin it around at a bbq or bar with my friends (especially the sports collection)
It's not going to be a big bulky trendy watch that looks nice and splashy at the time you buy it, but that you regret in 10 years (as you get older) that no longer holds any value. Which is another great aspect of Rolex, the name. They simply hold their value well compared to other brands since it is so recognized. If you ever needed or wanted to sell it or trade it for something else, you can still get some decent money back for it. my 2 cents |

When you're thinking about a watch that should last the rest of your life, it's hard to come up with a combination of dressy, tough, and brand heritage that matches Rolex. For the next 60 years, what other brand can you find service and parts for in every sizable town in the country? |
