Tango Orange Sub just landed
Morning all Just thought I would share my latest acquisition. Required quite a bit of pressure on Al (Alanski) to release her into my care, but luckily for me he was after bigger prey
So here's my transitional 16800 with full package in absolutely mint condition . According to my research, this was the first sub with the gold outline markers and gloss dial which, by the way, has now gone uniformly matte. But according to Al, this little beauty has been a real safe queen and never really seen the light of day in her 25 years existence - hence the crazy tango orange lume which is what attracted me to her most. Even the pearl is tango orange The photos dont really show the bright orange but take it from me....... it's tango time So now to show her off and wear her like she was born to be worn. Now clearly, as with my red, I needed to visit ABP first.......and she is now wearing a black matte alligator strap with matching double orange stitching and orange lining Sorry bracelet aficionados See you London guys and intrepid travellers at the London GTG on Sat if all goes to plan |

Thankfully, there are always bigger fish out there to bring about unexpected early release dates Having said that, I'm a definite hoarder so only one way traffic for me |

Thanks Guys Really appreciate the feedback One of the huge benefits of TRF is being able to share our passion (or should I say obsession) with fellow aficionados around the world And no negative comments so far on my choice of strap I thought I might have been pushing the boundaries a bit when I ordered this one .... but, if I say so myself, it really does go quite well and definitely accentuates the orange lume

Amazing color tritium, but I wonder if that lume will lighten/brighten over time if worn a lot, especially if it's exposed to the sun frequently. I know there are so many variables when it comes to the aging of tritium, but I've read that it can return to lighter shades, depending on how much sun it gets. Nice "problem" to have. Great watch!

This was raised by Aaron, so I was wondering if anyone else has any experience of the colour of the lume lightening when re-exposed to daylight on a regular basis?
Any info would be greatly appreciated and sooner rather than later !!! It has lost all of its luminous qualities completely, so I would hope it has settled to this colour but any more info very much appreciated. |
