Ladies Yacht Master input?

Any ladies out there that have some comments on their YM? I am vacillating in indecision between it and Ladies Dateadjust? Thanks!

Can I suggest trying on the ladies size AND midsize?

My wife always had her heart set on the ladies YM, when she tried it on with the Midsize she wouldnt let the midsize go.

She has now had it for a good few years and absolutely adores it.
Either way, midsize or ladies size the YM is absolutely stunning!!

Keep us posted :)

A YM is more versatile than a DJ b/c it can be dressy, sporty, and casual. Highly recommend the mid-size YM over the DJ. My wife loves hers!

My wife has the Ladies YM, and a white-dialed TOG. I too would suggest the midsize. If my wife had it to do over again, she would probably just have one watch..........the Midsize YM.

I like the ladies Yachtmaster, they are very nice. I know a lady who has the mid size plat version, she really likes it. She used to post here from time to time, I must call her and get her to come back.

I have had a ladies YM and the mid size DJ. I sold the Yachtmaster because it just needed to be a mid size. Try both sizes before you decide. The YM is an absolutely beautiful watch and the midsize may work for you.

I love the YM! I have a mid-size (35mm) and a full size (40mm). I would not buy the small size. The mid-size is just right.

Icon7 Moving toward the YM......

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The pics are really great. I may try to take pics at store and then post (in my mind this may be like driving up a one way street in NYC!). The midsize is my fav at this point--when I put it on though NO links are showing b/c the watch face takes up my entire wrist! Sounds nutty but after seeing so many beautiful "posted" wrists with watches I am sure I may have to bow out and go a tad smaller....opps did I say that out loud?

Thats the beauty of this forum, you can come on and get various different opinions before you buy. I love that about this forum.
Overall it is down to you. Glad to see you have decided on a YM, now it is just down to the size.
I am really keen to see which one you go for now :) please keep us all updated!!

My wifes love of the Midsize YM was a bit different. She has always wanted a midsize YM plat/ss from the moment she laid eyes on one. However it is an expensive watch and the prices kept going up. Eventually she gave up hope of ever getting it, and bought a TAG. She loved the TAG but constantly stopped at every AD window and said "ONE DAY I'LL GET MY YM"

A few years ago I was after a SS Daytona, and my AD friend called me and said "your Daytona is in" so off I went and drove to the AD for my Daytona (which I have now traded down to an LV as I think it was the love of the chase). When I was paying for my Daytona, the AD's wife said "what do you think of midsize YM's"

I was really shocked as this is the one watch my wife has always dreamed of. She showed me hers, that she had worn lightly in the store for the last 6 months and it was MINT. They said as I had just bought a Daytona they would do the YM at cost and I ended up buying it at a really good price. I couldnt really afford it at all, but I couldnt afford NOT to get it as I realised that this was the one and only chance to get this dream watch for my wife. When I took it home and presented her with her gift, the tears were streaming down her face. This was the one and only watch she has ever dreamed of. To say she was thrilled was an under statement.

A few years on and she is in love with this watch and will never let it go.

Thought you might like that little story :)

Great story Nairn

after all these rave reviews, I think I'll get my wife a mid-size YM when she has outgrown her TAG!

My girl has the mid size YM and loves it. I would avoid the ladies size. A bit too small in my opinion.

vacillating in indecision is more serious than you think?

The mid TT YM white dial with onyx markers would be THE ONE.

To the OP, Yachtmaster is really really nice but the problem is this is the usual answer from us watch fanatics (ie. both men and female WIS ) and many WIS here prefer the sports models of which the Yachtmaster is one of.

If you talk to non WIS women, most of the time, you will hear they would say they like the Datejust more as it can wear both formal and informal. Yachtmaster is a bit too sporty and causal for most of them and I guess doesn't fit into their idea of what a Rolex is.

But in the end, so just follow what you like! :)

I thought same, but wifes TAG is in for service, so she needs another watch for about 2 weeks. She tried on my GMTIIc and wow, I was blown away. Looked GREAT on her! She has very fine delicate wrists, and except for the fact I would need to remove about 4 links, I would have let her wear it. She (only half-joking) asked to use the Daytona, but that's not going to happen! Gave her my Seiko divers, but she broke spring bar within a day (rubber strap way too big and bulky, got caught on something), the other (quartz) Seiko has a flat battery . So she is now wearing our 6 year old daughter pink plastic masterpiece, looks ridiculous and hilarious on her

PS. Hey Greg (Mosco), are you out there? Got any mid-sized YM laying around? How quick can you ship it down to Oz???

My wife loves her mid size. She bought new a ladies small YM but when I bought a mid from mosco a while back she confiscated it and later sold the ladies. Been looking for a YM 36mm to see if I can get her up to a full size, but haven't had one in yet.

Thank You!
Look fwd to seeing this midsize YM on your wrist when you take it home :)

A bit of advice though, midsize and ladies watches do not sell like full size gents ones, so shop around for a deal.

If you do find a Brand new one sitting at an AD haggle a deal and I would certainly push for 20% off. If one AD won't discuss a deal, find another. Or you could always try one of the sellers on here.....

My wife's mid size TT, although she has deferred as of late to her datejust. I keep telling her the YM needs some wrist time, it's a beauty... and she just looks at me with a blank stare
