That is an awesome piece. I'm sure your wife will love it.

Bought a Reverso Classique for my wife the other week.

Very nice, Congrats.

Reminds me I should have gotten that Reverso I was looking at the other day.

Great looking watches.

I've grown to like them as well. Wouldn't mind a Grande Reverso 976 or Reverso Squadra Hometime.

It is not engraved, yet! But will be considered. I also ordered a deployant clasp for it.

Attending a couple weddings this summer - perfect timing.

Any chance of a comparison pic next to another watch? (Rolex?)
I’m tossing up between the 1931 and a Squadra for myself, but was thinking the a931 may be too small for my wrist.

The US edition looks great. I was able to get this regular edition shipped to me, but I imagine the US edition can be harder to find.

The Reverso sure grows on you. And there are a lot of different Reverso's to suit your taste.

I'll try to post a comparison pic tomorrow.

Here are some of my watches with the JLC Reverso Tribute (balancing act). The JLC Grande Reverso Tribute to 1931 sure looks the part of a classy icon.

Sizes are dial/lug to lug (my measurements).

IWC Portuguese Automatic 42.3/51 mm
Jaquet Droz Eclipse 43/51 mm
JLC Reverso Tribute 38/47 mm
Rolex GMT Master 40/47 mm

The JLC Reverso Tribute is similar in size lug to lug length, but certainly looks smaller because of the rectangular shape and narrower width. Also, this is the Ultra Thin model which will suit my wife. I don't mind thicker watches with more complications. She just wanted something with a simple, uncomplicated dial. This watch certainly fits the bill.

IMHO, for a Reverso, a 46 mm lug to lug length is a minimum for most men. It will also work for a woman, since larger watches are in and many women will wear men's size watches. When I looked at the Classique size Reverso (38.8 mm length), it seemed too small, even for my wife. It does make a difference to actually try one on and see for yourself. I usually find the larger version more appealing.

Thanks a huge amount for the picture Z-Dweller!
I was finding it impossible to source a good comparison pic between the 1931 and a watch I was familiar with.

Love it, will look great on her.

Is it marketed as a women's watch? I'd nick it off her if I was you.

Call it "His and Hers." She loves it, so I don't think I'll be able to wear it often.

The Ultra Thin design makes it work for her. The overall size also suits a man's wrist.

Another men's Reverso I like is the Grande Reverso 976. It's size, display back, classic design with small seconds hand, also suits my taste for a dress watch.

Yep some guy posted pics of his 976 here and I commented this is gonna be my next. It would be a way up with that and your one.

Both so beautiful.
