I'm wondering if after factoring in airfair, lodging and customs duties if you'll end up with any net savings over buying in the UK, Eurozone or one of the many reputable sellers here?

X2 that or d your research on prices. It always helps if you k ow your price before stepping into an AD and just pull the trigger. Works for me and goodluck on your hunt!

Factor in time, aggravation, and expenses for a travel purchase, and that sounds like spending to save.

If you're going pre-owned I recommend Goldmanns off St Anns Square in Manchester. Very reasonable prices. Or someone on here of course, but since you're in Manchester it wouldn't hurt to hunt aound.

The words "cheapest" and "Rolex" should not be used in the same sentence...

Watch out on TRF or overseas purchases. I'm not sure if you are used to purchasing things outside of the UK, but the tax is astronomical when it gets shipped in!
It probably would be cheaper to fly here and pick one up to wear home on your wrist then risking the tax man getting you! |

The UK is actually a very cheap place to buy right now - our prices after tax are the same as prices before tax in several places overseas. Import duty can make buying overseas or importing a watch a false economy

This dude had a whole bunch of Rolexx in the trunk of his '79 Caprice Classic. Prices were quite reasonable, but no box/papers for any of them. Some needed new batteries too.
Look, paying a few hundred "more" for a good, enjoyable, comfortable purchase is worth it. |

Its easier to tell you about the most expensive place to get one! Honestly if you don't have to get it from an AD then the best and most reliable way would be here from the good sellers.

My AD in the Midlands, 90 minutes from Piccadilly on the train. I can hook you up with him if you like or even introduce you, providing you meet my 'finders fee'. He has done 4 remarkable deals for me and is on mates terms. Let me know by PM.
Oh, the 'fee' is some beer! |
