Zenith EL Primero Striking 10th

Hello All

I have wanted to add a Zenith EL Primero to my collect for quite some time but never found one that "sings to me" until a few weeks ago when I tried on the Striking 10th. I must have tried on 20+ watches that day but kept coming back to this one. I even went back a second time just to try it on again to make I liked it just as much as the first time I saw it before purchasing one. I thought it was even more stunning the second time around!

Well, as they say, a pictures worth a thousand words, so without further interruption here is my new Zenith Striking 10th.

Drew

Looks awesome! Beautiful color combo. How does it wear for you and how do you like the fit/finish of it? Quality?

Thank you very much. I love the feel of this watch and yes at 42mm its a perfect size for me as I am already used to some of the larger watches I own, such as Oris, IWC and Panerai.

The dial design and looks are stunning and the fit/finish are first rate. I would highly recommend a Zenith watch and am left wondering what took me so long to acquire one!

I watches a video of this watch in operation.

A 'proper' timing machine.

Great looking watch. Congratulations. IMO, Zenith has done something pretty clever by going with a retro-chronograph styling, rather than a Daytona-homage or super macho/military look. It's hard to find a view of this Zenith that isn't classic.

Hello All

As promised, I finally got my Zenith into the light tent recently and took a few new photos. As I know all of you love pics I thought I would share them with you. Let me know what you think.

Drew

I love Zeniths and I really like this one too but I dfail to understand why the sub dials overlap?..for such a precision timing device, why is the measurment of minutes made difficult and even in-accurate for a little non-focused user? I wish the sub dials didnt overlap and I would be all over this piece...but apart from this slight gripe, I sure love it

I agree. I wish the sub-dials were spaced a little more. Still an awesome watch though.

I think they are copying the look of the older, vintage Zenith that employs a similar color scheme.
