AK - should I sell it for a bigger watch?
Good Night All,
Lately I have been waring my bigger 40mm watches and my 34mm Air-King has not seen any wrist time. My wife wants me to sell it. It was my first Rolex but not my first watch over 1K. I am not sure I want to sell it because I am going to take a bit of a hit on, but it gets not wrist time and there are all lot of other watches I would like to buy. I did get a lot of ware out of it for a few years. it it's in mint shape, I just had an mini service done on it! but I paid almost 4K (CAD) for it 3+ years ago. Any thoughts! Thanks, Eric |

If you're not gonna wear it, sell it!

X2. Unless it has sentimental value, then keep it.

I have an Air-king as well got mine in 2007. I wear it everyday and my sub lv sits. Not sure what you should do? I have thought about selling one of my watches as well. I am unsure as well.

For the most part, I get rid of stuff I don't use. The AK deserves to be worn.

Best advise of all. If she as you said is surely not interested and you are not wearing it I too would sell it and grab something you will wear or put the $$$ somewhere else until you find another you like

As mentionned before, if you don't wear it you should sell it and use the money to buy something else (something you'll wear more often). As a comparison I may say I sold my very first guitar last year to buy myself a better one and I never regretted it. To me, unless it's a gift or something you inherited, you shouldn't get attached to it that much just because it's your first Rolex, you had a great time wearing it, it's time to move on to something that suits you better!

It depends what else is in your collection and how many watches you have.
The AK is a great watch I would definitely keep and wear it. |

If you have a son/daughter nearing graduation, give it to them! I just had a 34mm Oyster Perpetual overhauled to give to my son/daughter (haven't decided yet).

Sell it quickly, and get something else before the prices rise.

Intentionally wear the AK for a few days and if you don't fall in love with it all over again, flip it! You may be surprised.
