Dream Acquisition: Never thought I be able to own a...

I have seen many pictures of this watch but did not really understand what the hype was all about. Since there isn't an authorized dealer for me to visit, I had to stop by a few local grey dealers to see what all the fuss is about. Once I tried it on, it was pretty much over and I knew, come hell or high water, I will have it.

A few (many) texts to Oscar and next thing I knew....I was unwrapping the shipping package.....but more on that later. Oscar shipped this bad boy overnight and my wife was so lovely to wait for the package and bring it to me during my lunch break at work. It was a wild wild ride getting to this point. Special thanks to my personal AD, Oscar BodyBump who has not lost one beat and was a gentlemen throughout this whole ordeal.

I plan to do a review separately but here is the unveil of a watch that is so beautiful that I feel like a kid all over again. All I had was my iPhone at the time so sorry for the poor images. Pictures do not do any justice to this watch and this was agreed by everyone that was rooting for me on my hunt for my grail.

In our car which was parked outside my work place:

What? Another packaged box within a box? Can't say I'm surprise as this was not my first purchase from Oscar:

Vacuum sealed? This is a new technique that I've seen from Oscar.

This must be a dream but let me peek:

Yep, it's not a dream:

Sealed twice?

This looks familar:

THIS DOES NOT LOOK FAMILAR....this is another species and has its own unique DNA:

I have to agree with you. Although I have tremendous respect for AP, they aren't my favorite watches - but that particular watch is straight up gorgeous!

Congrats and enjoy!

Beautiful AP, Long. Enjoy and wear it in good health.

Once again, Oscar comes through with flying colors. Kudos to you, Oscar for making this an easy transaction.

Excellent AP choice. I've noticed that sellers are taking extra measures in packaging their boxes beyond just the Parcel Pro requirements. Really? Vacuum sealing Oscar? Can you torture these poor souls any more?

Thank you for all the well wishes.

Bryan, your RO is a beautiful and for me it came down to the RO and ROOC. Congrats on your RO as well. I love the size of the ROOC so I end up with this as my first choice. Hopefully the RO is also in my horizon.

I like it. I have never seen an AP I did not realize they were so thick and sat so high on the wrist.

Michael, if you have never tried one, DON'T....b/c it may never leave your mind until it's around your wrist. The way AP stacked the watch and bezel makes it thinner at some angles or while thick at others. It's definitely a thick watch and is as thick as my Omega Ploprof.
