Beautiful, Larry. That watch sure has been turning my head recently and making me think. I've read where you've owned one of those for a number of years. SS models are pretty much considered the most durable "tool watch" I guess. How do you think that one holds up? Is it just the right balance of dressy/sporty? Would you feel comfortable putting that one to the test the same as a SS model? I've really been interested in the TT black/gold and curious what you think? I've seen the pictures of Al with his and he obviously has no problems taking his to the water.

Yes Larry, very nice. I do like my Blue TT sub and my SS Sub.

IMO (and unfortunately) they are both let down by the bracelet and clasp when compared to the new GMT's.
I won't buy another new Rolex until the bracelets and clasps are brought up to this new standard.

At the (considerable) risk of inflating JJ's ego, the TT Blue Sub is the best looking watch on the planet....and God willing, also my next watch!

I agree that a TT Submariner is the best looking watch in the planet as well. While the SS Submariner probably gets the award for the most original and classic design. However not far behind in 2nd place is the SS Daytona.

I especially like the Paul Newman dials that were featured on the Daytona from all the way in the 1960s as well.

Unfortunately, you have to get a CC8S, CCR, or CCX first.

Not a fan of TT watches but I like the TT black, agreed. I have to retrettably say that it is better looking than the blue model.

Beautiful watch - I love the black face on the TT. My fav overall is the 'plain' SS sub, but I'm not sure I can bring a good argument against 'best looking'.

Altho I love my TT Sub...and I've noticed that many have voted for it here! :)...
I would have to vote for the new SS GMT II!!! Everything about that watch is an instant classic...IMHO.

I think the BEST looking watch on the planet is the one you're wearing on your wrist at the moment and ONLY if it's really smiling back at you!!

Although I respect your opinion, TT Rolex watches are in general not my cup of tea.

For me there is either STEEL or GOLD, never the two mixed together.

Rolex makes several watches that may qualify as best looking.
I think the TT blue sub is right up there, as well as a few others, including my DD. This picture does it no justice:

The SS sports watches are the only current production men's Rolexes that don't look like man-bling to me.
