Question about Selling My Breitling
I have read many threads about people selling their Breitlings (or any brand for that matter) to upgrade or just for a change.
My questions is how did you sell your watch? Ebay? Trade in with jeweler? TRF? Craigslist? Pawnshop? I have a Superocean Steelfish on a SS professional bracelet I purchased brand new from an AD a couple of years ago...and I am looking to sell it. Just wanted to know what worked out best for you guys. Scott |

The problem is that It generally takes a while to gain the trust of buyers on any site, ebay, TRF, Craigslist ect... The most honest person will have difficulties selling a watch because so many people have sold fake watches or stolen items. That's why people don't send thousands of dollars without some history. My advice would be to be active on this site. Post new original threads and participate in threads. Even with all that its not easy.
For example you wouldn't buy a $7000 subC from ebay from a seller with 10-20 feedback score vs a seller with 2,000+ positive feedback score... The old phrase "a few good apples spoil a bunch" is very true especially when it comes to fine watches. Rolex in particular since there are a ton of fake or replicas out there. Hope that helps

Tom,
I know exactly what you are saying. And you are right...no, I wouldn't have bought my subC from Ebay even from a guy with 2,000 feedbacks. One thing I do have going for me is that I live in Las Vegas...so maybe I could do a face to face transaction, which would make us both feel more secure. I would hate to trade it in to let them make money off it. I would rather it find a new owner who can enjoy it as much or more than I can. thanks for your reply, Scott |

Spend some more time on here, price it right (after doing some research) and put it here in TRF.
If you know the watch you want maybe contact some of our sellers on here and make a trade with cash for the Rolex of your dreams. That saves you from selling it and dealing with the frsutration of it not moving or scattered brain buyers |

Trade-in: Depends on the store, some actually give great trade-in value, others will screw you. TRF: Yes, and also list it on other forums for better coverage, such as TZ Craigslist: No. Pawnshop: No.

You may also consider selling it on Breitlingsource.com, they have a really nice forum as well and it is exclusively Breitling. You should check them out.
