Oyster lock bracelet discomfort (long!)

Evening Chaps!

I've spent a bit of time experimenting with with bracelet and clasp to optimise the fit and think I've got it about right. It's not too loose with cold skin and not too tight when hot and the clasp is centered.

Problem is, I've noticed when the bracelet is looser and the watch drags down my wrist a bit and the clasp digs into the back of my wrist somewhat. It's never been a problem with my previous watches, including a heavy Tag Heuer chrono but the oysterlock clasp seems to have a thin leading edge on the top which digs in a bit uncomfortably. The blades on Heuers stand somewhat proud of the clasp and act as a cushion against the wrist but on the oysterlock clasp the blades fold flush allowing the clasp edge to dig in....well on my wrist anyway!

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is the fliplock clasp any different i.e. are the leading edges as thin as the oysterlock and do the blades fold flush with the clasp?

I've never had a problem as you described with your Oysterlock on my Fliplock, but I also wear my watch snug on my wrist, so the watch isn't jostling around as much. This is not only more comfortable for me, I'm also told that it helps the movement perform better in the context of auto-winding and power reservation.

Thanks guys.

I've added a link again and moved it back to the hole closest to the fliplock. There's just a fraction less braclelet length than in the previous setting but it seems to fit better. It's a little snug when my skin in really warm (Scotland is a sizzling 22 degrees today!) but overall the average hot / cold fit is better. Time will tell and maybe a bit more experimentation.
