Rolex Sub 116610 - hour markers?

Are the hour markers on the new 116610 sub trimmed with white gold? I heard that the GMT has gold trimming around the hour markers.

Yep - all metallic markers on Rolex dials (as well as hands) are made from 18ct gold You might be interested to know that all of the numerals on the bezel of your watch are platinum

Hmmmm. I'm not sure if that is true....

I think on the SS watches like subs and GMT's that the markers and hands are made from SS also..... I could be wrong though...

I'm afraid you are, they're most definitely 18ct white gold

I'm not doubting you I'm just going by what my dealer told me. Like the SS datejusts with domed bezels have stainless everything.

Your Dealer is misinformed..

The domed bezels are indeed Stainless.. The fluted bezels are Gold..

However, neither has anything to do with the dials, hands, and hour markers, which are always white or yellow gold and have been for a couple of decades..

Until Larry gets back, that is the case, as I understand it and I've seen it confirmed here and elsewhere many times.

Just as it's stated on Rolex's website... the Sub's bezel numerals and markings are either Yellow Gold or Platinum.

Thanks for the information, but we're talking hands and hour markers!

I read (from TRF) that even the markers and hands for Polar Exp II are white gold painted black.
