First time buyer/Poster... Please help!
Hello all.. I've been saving and saving and it's finally time to purchase my dream watch, or close to it. I'm sure this question has been discussed numerous times but I've been searching for a while and can't find much. I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with Perfect-timing.biz. I've been talking to the 'Sales manager, Mike' back and forth for about a week now and they seem legit. They have tons of sales on yahoo as well as an A+ on BBB. I know a lot about Rolex I've been fascinated with them since I was a kid. I know it's best to buy from an authorized dealer and all that good stuff.. This site has the exact watch I want "Unused" with and Aftermarket diamond bezel which is what I wanted. It comes with original bezel, boxes, etc... SO if anyone has dealt with these guys in the past please let me know good or bad... Thanks Guys/gals... Merry Christmas

I did a google search and it actually brought up a thread on these forums:
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=23742 Also, their BBB page says they are in Miami. You are in Florida so why not check them out in person. Personally, it smells, looks, and feels shady. I would not risk MY money on it. |

Yea I did stumble on that thread. Not sure what to believe on that one. I mean that poster seemed a little shady.

They are in Miami and I'm not too far from them. They do not have a physical shop. Some of their testimonials mention them actually meeting with customers to deliver watches. I asked the sales manager about that today. Hopefully get an answer after the holidays.

I will keep that in mind. I'm new to the site so I'm still learning. But I'm looking for GMT-ii with aftermarket diamond, ruby and saphire bezel. (usually found on yellow or white gold model)

I spent some time looking at the site and it sounds a bit fishy. I have been coming to this forum for a month, and I trust the opinions of the veteran members here. My next buy will be from one of the sellers on TRF!

I have no info on the seller, but the best thing about this forum is that the moderators allow posters to express opinions on sellers and prices. And that is why I hang out here. I would read and head IMHO.

Look I ordered from Bernard Watch, which is consistently rated as a good grey dealer, and I had a great experience. 2 years later, I bought from an AD, and it just felt better. Honestly, I wish I paid the extra $500 to get my watch from an AD, subjectively its just nice seeing your name on the warranty paperwork and the paperwork indicates that the watch was originally shipped to the U.S.
I kind of had the same thinking that you did - that BBB means a whole lot. Do a search for Melrose, and BBB indicates that it has an A-. And if you do a search for Melrose on this forum, you won't find good things. I'm glad I had a good experience with Bernard, but I just would have rather gone to an AD. IMHO. |

Yes, wise words bradiowausa. I guess what really is drawing me to them is that they have the watch I want with the bezel I want already together. Looks like I can get the bezel for around 3-4k. But then comes another search to try and find a place I can trust for that.

Like the original thread starter, I too have been saving for one Rolex that sing to me. And now it is finally time to purchase my vintage Rolex.
What do you guys think of buying through the net? I know, check the rating of the seller first and look out for any tell tale by the previous buyers from that particular seller. But how to ensure the seller is 100% genuine in selling original vintage Rolex? (Not a refurbished vintage one) |

I think that there are very few sources on the internet that are reliable to purchase from. However, I believe that trusted sellers here are probably going to be about as reliable as you can get. TRF is a relatively small community, so, for a long-established seller to risk his reputation in order to sell one watch would be pretty stupid.
Just be sure to ask a lot of questions about the watch you're buying, check references thoroughly and make sure that you feel comfortable in your own mind before pulling the trigger on a purchase. |

Bernard Watch, as mentioned in another post, is a legitimate seller in Austin, Texas. Also, try Aruba Gold in Miami.
