Rolex and your Sun Shades

The sun is up daily in the south so I wear shades just about everyday atleast while driving. What are fellow TRFers wearing with their watches?

I normally wear Ray-Ban Clubmaster but my folding Wayfarers are at the top of my list. I use to wear my Persols a lot but the magic wore off.

Doubt if I'll be wearing any of them for the next 3-4 months but here are some of mine.

Most recent were the Ray Ban Carbon Fibre series

I've had Oakley's, Ray Ban's, Revo's - the lenses on Maui Jim's are the best I've ever experienced!

Besides Oakley and RayBan these are the ones I like the most...
One of the first two has a lifetime scratch protection or something like that... they are supposed to be unbreakable... who knows.. I am not going to try...

No PICs, but Gucci or Rayban work well for me.

I like Oakley shades....for general use I have the "whisker" model, 1 pair prescription, 1 non.
I like their plastic ones, M frames etc. for active endeavors.

Here's my DJ, my "dinosaur" smartphone, and my glasses with Nikon Eyes Transitions lenses and Aspex frames. The frames come with magnetic clip-on shades for when I'm driving, but those are in the car. Even at Sam's Club, my glasses cost about $700.

All Oakley for casual wear. Bolle for technical wear.
Oilcan or Gascan was the norm with my old Daytonas.
Haven't decided about the President, though.
Probably find the old Whisker shades.

With one of the 2 dozen pairs of Oakley's my wife is always asking me to put away. These are my custom etched SRAM Batwolf's and my GMT II.

Gorgeous glasses everyone! My dad is sorta a collector of Persol's. He's been buying them since the 80's. He gave my grandfather a pair of Persol's in the 90's, that my dad bought in Italy in the 80's. My grandfather gave them to me, a long time ago. They are 80's 649 Persol's. They are very big and nice! I cannot wear them, they are way too big for my face. No Rolex for me... yet.

Persol 649 Vintage:

*The 649's are not a reissue that Persol made, they are the real vintage ones from the 80's.

Ray Ban RB2140 Polarized Black(my favorite)

Then I just have a pair of normal glasses for my vision, I am near sited. It sucks a lot! My vision glasses are tortoise, I wanted Persol's, but they are hard to get in Kingston. So I got some in store brand.

For me, it's all about the Rolex Sub C , Oakley Fives shades and the Mont Blanc pen. They are pretty solid trio.

Over 45 years of being on a pool deck/surfing/kayaking, have had pretty much every brand from Bolle to Scott to you name it and Maui Jim's have the best polarized lenses. My custom Oakleys don't even come close. The "raccoon" look (or lack thereof) tell you how effective the lenses are. M J's rock.
