Rolex Daytona #116520 - Good Deal?

I have the chance to pick up a used Rolex Daytona #116520 in excellent used condition here locally.

No box or papers, I do know that it is 100% authentic.

My cost $7,500.00

Is this a good deal or not?

Thanks...

+1

7.5 no box or papers would make me really seriously nervous, he could have done thousands better.

Either he's not aware of value, or he loves you, or there was a reason he had to sell it that cheap as watch only.

That's a great deal... It's practically too good. It's authentic and in excellent condition?

Great deal assuming everything is original/authentic and nothing (links, etc.) is missing, but unless this is someone you know well and trust intimately, insist on taking it to an AD and getting it authenticated as part of the deal....with that, it's a fantastic deal, jump on it.

As previously stated. Unless you know and trust the seller $7,500 makes me real nervous.

for peace of mind, suggest going to an AD for verification... see if he gets cold-feet!

Bargain or not, $7.5K is still a lot of money to lose...

Make sure th AD knows what's what ... Some couldn't spot a fake any better than a man off the street.

Even the "killer" used Rolex watch price guides say $7500

Honest Dealers will pay easy 8400...so you got a good deal.

Of course a watchmaker familiar with original Rolex movements
should pop the back open and see inside - then - if all ok - ask the seller to
give you a signed receipt with the Reference and serial and then you
are good to wear...you got yourself a good deal..

strike while the iron is hot.

to make sure its authentic, tap it and test that it has that annoying ball bearing rattle.

Is the AD going to run the serial number against the sticky fingers list?

Brought it to the local Rolex dealer and the watch is 100% authentic.

Here are some photos. Sorry for cell phone quality.

Thanks for all your help on this.
