Will the new Milgauss be 40mm or 36? Does anyone know what the price will be? Any expected release date?

Release is in November according to my AD. Cost will be near $6,000.

I thought I had read $5900 for the black and white dials and $6200 for the Green Glass.

I cant wait to see the new Milgauss in person as well!!

I tell you guys, I have a gut feeling that Rolex is about to UP UP UP their prices in the next few years.

$6200 is a lot of money for a Rolex w/o date. This is one reason I went ahead and jumped on a new Sub. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford it in a few more years after all the models have received their upgrades.

I believe you are very right about those price increases, and what is even MORE important - well at least to me, that is - you will see more and more changes made to Rolex design.

So I am very happy on your behalf that you got a nice "UNspoiled" Z-series Sub without the inner chapter ring inscription.

IMHO, the Milgauss, especially the green crystal etched, just might become the "new Daytona" in terms of desirability. IMO, the demand for it will be HUGE.

I agree about the prices. Rolex has decided, wrongly I think, as evidenced by some of the new bling watches and the changes with the YM, that is is going to be EVEN more wooing of the ultra wealthy who make no distinction between 3 or 4 K in a purchase. As they knock up the high end stupid watches, they will knock up the lower end watches and that will give huge life to the gray sellers. Not wise on their part, but they do not care. They can do what they want. They are ultimately a charitable trust, and these decisions are made by the board members.

I am close friends with a board member of Deutche Gramaphon and Phillips music. They give their profits to charity. They work hard to make tons of money though so that they have it to give away.

So, if you see a watch that you like, unless you are specifically waiting for a Daytona or a Milgauss or some such thing, go ahead and get it NOW and don't wait in the sky for the next Rolex that might be made. This is a very conservative company, and I doubt you will see the kind of numbers in new watches you did this year. When they did the new TOG that was a big deal.

You can never lose ever with an ss Submariner or a beautuful DJ or one of the classic YM (If you like maxi dial there you go) with stunning platinum dial, or classic Explorer ll with white or black face. (Frankly I think this will be a collector item someday cause they will change this one I think) Those babies are right there so get it now if you like it. Waiting for some model to come out with maxi is futile. There are already good maxi choices. If you wait, you may pay another grand for your watch, and after that United States Supreme Court case I mentioned in other posts, Rolex may be able to demand no less than MRSP in the future.
