Explorer 5500 1967

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a vintage explorer, and this has caught my eye on ebay.co.uk

#170764160066

This will be my first Rolex, although I bought a new midside oyster perpetual for my wife last year, and the rest of my family all have old and new datejusts, I fancy something a bit different.

I like the look of these old explorers, this one seems to be a good price. I suspect it won't appeal to the purists, as it has been restored, but that aside, does it look ok, or is it too cheap? I live near the seller and should be able to see the watch before committing to buy.

Thanks for any help, Matthew

I've been in contact with the sell re this watch:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Superb-Gen...item27c2564c42

His comments are:

"The watch is in totally original condition, no parts have been swapped removed / replaced.

The dial is original and has been restored in the extact way it should be on a watch of this period."

Any opinions?

Thanks, Matthew

The case size is 34mm not 38 or 40mm.
