Rolex Bezel
Hi,
I have Rolex 116223 2 tone datejust mens. The bezel has some marks and scratches. I am unsure whether they can be removed. How can I source a rolex bezel (yellow). I intend to take the bezel to a watchmaker for replacement. Rolex service centre advised me that the watch has to be serviced and then the bezel will be replaced. I would to avoid taking the watch to Rolex care in Australia. I am also keen to know whether marks (minor dents/marks) can be polished out from the main case. The marks are on the edges near the bracelet. Thanks in advance. Last edited by rolex116233; 7 February 2012 at 09:00 PM.. Reason: forgot to mention the country |

The case can be extensively polished but the bezel can only be lightly touched up. If its been more than five years since service you should take it to an ad and have it sent out. You would be very hard pressed to find a brand new genuine bezel in the secondary market. If scratches on your bezel really bother you maybe you should trade in for a opth bezel that can be refinished.

Post some decent pictures.
You don't use the term "gouge" or "gash" so I'm not anticipation too much nastiness. Personally, I'd be looking to tidy the bezel up myself. Preparation, correct tools and abrasive/polish coupled with a reasonable amount of basic skills and the thing should look pretty darned good after a little effort.
