Sid,

I've done it once before with no negative results, but I wouldn't suggest it. A faulty seal can lead to moister attacking the movement. Rolex says you can though..

I wear my 16750 in the hot tub about 4X a week after I exercise. My Seamaster (auto) has literally been in a hot tub 1000's of times over the years. No Sweat! pun intended. (sitting in a ho tub with a beer smilie)

Just remember that if you chose to wear a watch in water:

Generally it is best practice to have it pressure checked at least annually.

If you chose to wear it in salt water or anything that uses chemicals.

It is best to rinse the watch throughly once you are done.

It was the heat that worried me. I would rather us keep them on than leave in hotel room.
Cheers sid.
They are both new so should be water tight.

Heat. ......... hot tubs are only around 103 to 106 degrees... In the summer time here in the desert it's always hotter than that just walking around... and the inside of your car can get to 140....

any heat that you can survive in, your watch won't even notice...

Not a problem. Your local watch shop should be able to pressure test it for water tight-ness, but not deep pressure, but then again, how deep is a hot tub.

Now, off to my hot tub!

I think that your Rolex should be able to withstand higher temperatures than your body can.

I was 300 miles above the arctic circle at new year...

It got as cold as -30 at night and when I got back to the cabin I regularly dived straight into the pre-heated sauna wearing nothing but my Sub and a smile.

But remember your watch is on your wrist getting the gentle heat from your own body.

My Rolex spend hours in the hot tub when on Holiday, then gets out and jumps into the cooler ocean, then back again! No worries.

True.

I wouldn't have been quite as confident had the watch itself got down to -30, though I suspect it would have been ok...

My point was just that I had worn it from one extreme to another in the length of time it took me to take my boots off and strip.

How many seconds did you manage to keep it on before you had to take it off?

I've done that on several occasions (80 proof involved) and always regretted it.

Not for the sake of the Rolex but the burnmarks on my wrist.

It's good to pamper your Rolex with a dip in the hot tub - it's soothing.

Your watch can be worn ANYWHERE you are, and for WHATEVER you are doing!

One precaution...DO NOT PUT it into an Ultrasonic Cleaner!
