Nothing except the colour of the bezel insert in some countries like the USA the N stands for black bezel insert.

When you pull the crown out to the second time zone hour hand jump position, while slowly turning the hour hand, the 24 hr hand will remain slightly more stable with the 3186 movement, it will move a few seconds back and forth with the 3185 movement a tiny bit of slack.

Now if you turn the crown it will rotate about 5 turns to jump the hand around the dial on the 3185,if it turns closer to 8 complete turns watch will have a 3186 movement..But both movements are excellent in every way and accuracy on the wrist would doubt if you would notice any difference and its nothing to do with the winding rotor

The so called "wiggle test" is not a test to determine if the watch is good or bad. It is just an indication of which movement version may be inside..

There is no "pass" or "fail" here..
