I got a new one, and it may surprise you!
I wanted something low key for small town UK, so I went with the Molex favourite :)
Sorry for the crap pic. I've always loved the dial on the Explorer, but until I wore a DJ for a few days, I thought it was too small for me. I was wrong, and I love it! |

Thank you Daren! I looked at a few, including the SD (which I liked this time), but I went in specifically for this one. I think I can wear it anywhere, under any circumstance and feel comfortable. And, like you said, it's a classic Rolex

How does it wear compared to a Sub? I think those look sooooooo gooood Bruce. It is the Rolex version of a BASE.

Well, very light and small! Yeah it is kind of the base equivalent I guess. It's very easy to read and I like that. You sure don't have to have LARGE for ease of reading!

Bruce, GREAT choice! Ain't it funny, everyone wonders if the explorer is really a great watch, but when they actually wear it for a while... they *know* it's a great watch. Congrats!
BTW, you make the right choice in going into it with the attitude of "This is my everyday watch, it's going to get marked up". I tried to keep mine "nice" for a little bit, but I only really started to enjoy it when I quit worrying about it and treated it like what it is: A tough watch designed to be used and enjoyed, not pampered and polished. It's one of the Explorer's many subtle charms.

I like your attitude Bruce, you don't have to try to thrash it, but it will happen for sure.

Thanks John! Yep, I love this lil guy. May be smaller, but no less mighty Gotta tell ya, I'm loving this size. Just so comfortable. I still have my big ones for when I'm feeling the need for size!
And Daren, you're right. The dings are inevitable, unless you just never wear it. |
