Icon17 My new (to me) Daytona 116528 Black PN dial...PICS

Firstly thank you David for another excellent transaction. You are exceptional and make the whole process so easy and safe

I decided to trade my WG 116509 for this.....it was a jump for me as I've always backed off from Yellow Gold. But, after much trying on and looking ...+ advice from my lovely wife...I decided to take the plunge.

David had this in - super mint condition...so we made the deal.

I've had to wait a little longer because of the easter holiday....but was delighted to find that it was being delivered today (a day early)

First impression...wow! It is such a comfortable watch. I spend most of my time in jeans and it just seems to go so easily. Of course I am used to the wonderful weight from the 116509....but with the pop on the wrist....well nothing can quite prepare you for that.

Inside beats an extraordinary Rolex movement. The black with champagne sub dials has always been my favourite. I used to drool over pics from so many members on here ...including Otto and Ken

So without further ado here are the pics I've taken...

Something about the yellow gold against a black sweater

Thanks for looking....I am very happy right now

Black & Gold...

Great look Dalip. You are in fine company with Otto. I was able to see that baby in person (on his wrist) when I was in Tokyo in 2010.

Fantastic!

Such is the beauty of YG, its hard to describe the amazing feel of having a YG Rolex on your wrist especially when you are under a clear SUNNY day. Watch how it sparkles! I like the dial on your WG Daytona but you made a good choice going to YG

It certainly does.

Rolex still uses this exact model/dial variant on such a lot of it's current marketing material and it is little wonder why.

Thanks very much gents.

Really appreciate the comments.

Have to say Travis I feel the same way which is a relief!

I loved my 116509 but this watch is mind blowing.....I have been out and it goes so well with jeans and a black polo....didn't feel too self conscious which I was worried about.

Let's see tomorrow.....work colleagues may have a few words about it

That must of been a tough decision swapping the WG with that dial. I loved that watch.

But the YG is a stunner. Congrats.

Dalip,

IMHO you did good! This one is far better looking than your WG Daytona.

Great taste sir!
