FS: Rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual Chronometer Reference 1018

This is a very nice, very rare vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Superlative Chronometer, Official Certified, Reference 1018 in stainless steel.

These watches are unusual because they're fitted with chronometer-rated Rolex Calibre 1570 automatic movements (26 jewels in this case), and they employ the larger, 36mm cases, with 20mm between the lugs.

The serial number, 1464xxx, would date it to approximately 1966.

The silver-white dial & the hands are very good . . .

The 36mm steel case and screw-down case-back are very clean, and this is a collectible you could wear every day.

The watch is in excellent over-all condition. It is keeping good time and it has just been fitted with a new black leather strap.
