Rolex Date - is this authentic?

Hi,

A friend has this watch he wants to sell me but has no papers or box.
Just want your thoughts if its authentic and if anyone can give me info about the year of manufacture and what a fair price may be.
Thanks

Take the bracelet off to get the model/ serial numbers and then do ALOT of research.. Havent seen that bezel before.. But certainly does not mean that it isn't genuine

the watch looks good its an engine turned bezel it is correct for this model, it should be a model 1501 or 15210, if its the sapphire cyrstal version the later model number applies regards

15210 has a sapphire crystal glass and a newer quickset date movement

1501 must be under 2000
15210 2500-3000 depends on condition
