Zeinth Daytona question

I just got a email from my wanted post from another website and he claims he has F-series daytona for 6950. So I asked for pictures and he send me the zeinth daytona pictures. And here is the pics he send it to me

So I asked him for pictures of boxes and papers which he claims to have. Do you guys think this is a scam or he just don't know what he has. He also offered 7 days money back with credit card.

What do you guys think??

I think it is a scam!

"F series" and "Zenith Daytona" don't match!

Why? Since "F" is 2003 and the Zenith Daytona was discontinued in 2000!

Now to the picture:

Looks like the real thing, and it sure shows a "Zenith" Daytona 16520 with the cal. 4030 mvt.

Hmm! I don't think you will get what you see!

Also, note it has TRITIUM markers! Nothing wrong with that, but it would make that 16520 very early!

Sorry, but I would like hell!

Oh, and btw: an SS Daytona 16520 (even it that scratched condition) for US 6,950 would be "cheap as chips"! 16520ies are going for a lot more money these days!

1) Which one of them? Since often it is used in plural: brains

2) On second thought: No, won't lend it to you if you would use it in your head and bang your head against the wall

When I lend things out, I want them back in the same condition!

I would treat it/them the same as I would treat mine, whiskey, gin, cigarettes and no exercise whatsoever.
Sounds good?

To get back on topic, so the guy is making the serial up or am I missing the point?

Bo's right. The Zenith 4030 Daytona was discontinued at the end of 2000, replaced by the 116520 with the in-house 4130 movement. The photos you posted are of a Zenith Daytona.

That's why I posted here because it was too good to be true.
If he is local and wants face to face deal, I would take him to the nearby RSC to verify its authenticity. If not I'll run like hell.

This is a gorgous Daytona Zenith dial but it's not going to be the one you get if any. These go for a ton and prices are going up fast. His price is a joke and he's a scammmer. =) maverick
