my god i think i made a grave mistake..

i know its a lil too late to regret what i did yesterday...but hell since i cant let it out towards my wife ..i'll let it out here...i bought her a quatz movement aqua terra ...

i just do not understand why would she pick that over a planet ocean/seamaster ...does that make any sense to be picking up a quatz movement over an automatic...??

i even offer her to pick up a breitling heritage 38 yet she still dont get it... i think i'll rant over this for the rest of the week...

i bought my brother the same model last year for his bday..great looking pick btw...still i dont understand why girls like quatz over auto..

Not all women prefer quartz. Most are less interested in the mechanics and more interested in the look, though.

The "why" is that society teaches women they should not care about the inner workings of things, probably mixed with a woman's instinctual nature to care more about people and relationships than about mechanics (derivatives of the hunter mentality, where mechanics and invention give man an edge over beast).

Times are changing, though, and more and more women are getting into watches, cars, computers, etc... also, no 2 people are the same, and many women naturally gravitate towards machines and techy stuff.

PS - From a simple usability perspective, Quartz is far superior. It's cheaper, keeps better time, needs setting less often, requires less maintenance, and doesn't cost $1000 to service. Mechanical watches require that you check your time weekly (at least), service them every few years, and shell out big bucks keeping them in proper order. Women aren't the stupid ones, if you ask me!

My wife has both auto and quartz. I have to set and wind the auto which is why she prefers the convenience of quartz.

That is exactly it wife my wife. For one, she could care less what kind of movement is inside and two, she does not want to be bothered winding and setting the time every time she decides to wear it.

My wife wears her white G Shock all the time, and ?I must say, it looks great on her.

No need to rant, she saved you money and she is happy. What more could a guy ask for?

Quartz is a good idea if you can swing it IMO.

No mistake. Manual is just for watch snobs, quartz is more accurate and for a woman that changes watches more often and use them as a fashion accessories it is much more convenient to use quartz so you don't have to reset the watch.
