Hi !

I'm toying with the idea of buying an older Rolex GMT, late 80s early 90s.

I like the jubilee bracelet but I would like to hear some pros and cons.

So what do you guys say ?

It looks great with either IMO. But if you get a Rootbeer the TT jubilee is a must

Get both. Jubilee is comfortable and dresses it up a bit. The oyster is more versatile.

My first was a rootbeer on jubilee. I like the oyster, but the pcl's in tt is not a favorite. The jubilee is a very comfortable, slightly dressier look for the GMT.

I love my jubilee so much I sold the oyster for this watch. The jubilee is siper comfortable and catches the light in amazing ways. I have enough watches with an oyster, I knew it would never make it's way back onto this GMT...

I could be wrong but I think the Jubilee was the first offered on a GMT.

As far as I know they have always been offered with both jubilee and oyster bracelets. I like the flexibility of having both bracelets and Pepsi and black bezel inserts to give me a lot of flexibility in the watches appearance....it will never grow old on you like other references.

I was in Dublin recently and saw a 1970s vintage SS GMT Pepsi at Dawson Jewelers. It had a Jubilee bracelet with the hollow links. It was beautiful but I was struck by how lightweight it felt. I'm used to my TT DJ with Super Jubilee I guess. Personally, I prefer the Jubilee on any Rolex.

If you can swing both that would be great, however the Super Jubilee gets my vote for sure.

The look is great, and to be honest I can't think of any Cons.

Oyster scratches are more noticeable... The jubilee looks very nice and elegant. It's a question of - do you want sporty or dressy?
